Empowering the Next Generation of Data Analysts: Power BI Course Recap

We’re thrilled to celebrate the completion of our 4-week “Introduction to Data Analysis” course with the talented CCPS students!

A diverse group of teens, including students from North Clayton STEM Magnet School, MD Roberts Middle School, and homeschool students from various states, including Georgia and California, worked hard to master the art of turning raw data into insightful information using Microsoft Power BI—an industry-leading tool that’s shaping the future of data analysis worldwide.

With the generous support of Microsoft, The Empress and Pearls Inc. created an interactive, hands-on learning environment for students in grades 8-12.

Over the course of the program, students were introduced to data analysis through engaging projects that helped them develop crucial skills in data interpretation and presentation. Along the way, they gained experience with Power BI, a real-world tool that fosters digital literacy and empowers data-driven thinking—skills essential in today’s digital landscape.

Our goal for this course was to inspire young minds to explore the exciting world of data analysis and to demonstrate that Power BI is an accessible, user-friendly tool.

Students from various backgrounds, including homeschoolers from across the country, were able to dive into this growing field and see firsthand how data analysis impacts industries globally.

The level of creativity, critical thinking, and commitment demonstrated by the students was truly inspiring. Their progress over the course of the program showcases the immense potential within today’s youth. We couldn’t be prouder of their achievements and the enthusiasm they brought to each project.
